Amanda Nguyen knows a thing or two about having to think on her feet. “As a former data analyst, a lot of times you don’t know how to solve the problems you’re solving and that is kind of the essence of being a small business owner as well,” she said. Her critical thinking skills were instrumental in helping her make the transition to starting her own customized cake bakery, Butter&, in 2017.
